Seconds

I have never seen such beauty
jaded by the tides of dawn.
My eyes leap and shudder to the rising sun.
Another greeded moment birthed from the blind,
where have I lost.

Trails aligned by timbered stones,
my steps cultivate my loss of hope.
Unrejoiced by the words surrounded,
time passes into oblivion.

Are we now or never were?
Abandoned, given no answers to our quest.
Stories told to feed our thirst,
as the seconds tick.

The journey ends,
and I will never see such beauty again.
